I want to say thanks to all the supporters of Decentered Media via Patreon. After taking some time out over the summer, I’m gearing up to be developing more content and conversations we can share and discuss together.
Each week I’ll be sharing new podcasts, blogs, and short videos that explore different aspects of decentralised media. These updates will focus on how people can use community-led communication, DIY practices, and emerging tools like AI to shape their own stories and have a stronger voice in public life.
I’ll be looking at projects such as Radio Lear, as well as examples of citizen and community media, to show how creative approaches can challenge the dominance of mainstream outlets. The aim is to make sense of what decentralised forms of media can do to support inclusion, accountability, and collaboration, while also offering practical insights into what works.
This isn’t about producing content for its own sake, but about creating a shared space where ideas can be tested, discussed, and developed. I want these podcasts and posts to encourage open conversations about how media can drive positive social change and help communities feel more connected and represented.
