This evening at the Documentary Media Centre, John and I chatted with Hannah and Josh from Cafe Orso in Leicester. We asked them about how they have developed their independent coffee shop in the centre of Leicester, and what they see as the need for more alternative social spaces that as well as grabbing a drink or a bite to eat, it’s possible to relax and catch up with friends without being bombarded or sold stuff you don’t want. We asked them about their developing use of social media, and what changes they expect to see to how people socialise in Leicester in the future.
